American Flags representing the 728 New Yorkers killed on September 11, 2001, were planted by the the Binghamton University Republicans Club, on the grounds near the Glenn G. Bartle Library Tower in 2008. A New York State University Police honor guard will lower the flag in front of the Couper Administration Building at 8:45 a.m. today in observance of the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Flowers will also be placed in the Memorial Courtyard in the Fine Arts building, at the monument commemorating the 15 Binghamton University alumni killed in attack on the World Trade Center.
