Our undergraduate major is one of Harpur College's largest and most popular, with particular strengths in law and courts, comparative political institutions, civil war and repression, international relations, and foreign policy. A BA degree in political science prepares you for a career in journalism, business, government, lobbying, or the law (to name a few). Our graduates are employed in government agencies, law firms and businesses, and many pursue advanced studies in the field to become researchers, professors and teachers. The program provides you with a broad background in political science, but also allows you to specialize in one or both of these concentrations:
