SP2.9: High Impact Learning Experiences

This proposal would develop the infrastructure necessary to provide all undergraduate students with at least one "high-impact learning experience," defined to include a research project, internship, service-learning project or study-abroad opportunity and to monitor/assess/maintain the quality of the experiences as the scale of the effort increases. There are separately funded sub-components of the project under each the EVP/provost and the VP for Student Affairs. The project is functioning as an umbrella that loosely ties together separate on-going, expanded and new initiatives in several offices. Project coordination occurs via meetings between senior leadership in the offices of the Provost and Division of Student Affairs.
