Summer Session program wins award for outstanding program

The Center for Learning and Teaching received an award from the North American Association of Summer Sessions (NAASS) in the “Creative and Innovative Award for Most Outstanding Administrative Program” at its annual conference in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Through these awards, NAASS highlights the importance of curriculum development, gives credit to summer session administrators who make outstanding contributions to the operation/management of summer session and provides a forum for members to learn from each other. Programs were judged on creativity, uniqueness, benefit to students and adaptability to other institutions.

The award was given for development of B-Online, an online learning immersion experience that demonstrates what it’s like to take and be successful in online courses taken through Blackboard Learn at Binghamton.

B-Online was featured in the June 2014 President’s Quarterly Report.
