Parking and Transportation

OCC Transport (OCCT) embarked on a new program in the fall 2015 semester with the addition of the new look “green shuttle buses” that offer on-campus service only. The shuttles run daily, with increased service (three buses running at a time) during peak times. Students, faculty and staff may ride the buses.  The current stops are designed to get students from residential areas to classrooms but also to get faculty/staff/commuters from parking lots to offices/classrooms/meeting locations. At peak times, shuttle service should get to each stop approximately every 5-7 minutes. When two shuttles are in service, every 10-12 minutes, and when one is running, every 15-17 minutes.

In early October, the buses were fully equipped with GPS and RFID ID card readers. All passengers will be required to tap their ID once they board. With the GPS system, which is currently available on all OCCT Blue Buses, passengers will be able to keep track of where the bus is located and have an approximate time it will arrive at their bus stop. The GPS system is available at http://bupublic.etaspot.net/ as well as via apps available for both IPhones and Androids, via ETA SPOT.
