East Campus Housing on track

The new Dickinson Community, which is made up of O’Connor, Johnson, Rafuse and Digman Halls, is on time to open in fall 2013. These four buildings will meet LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards for energy and water efficiency, indoor environmental quality and innovative design. Each of these halls will have a building occupancy of 330-420 and will be comprised of mini-suites with single and double bedrooms (4 singles or 2 doubles and 1 single) which share two private bathrooms. Each will also have a Great Room, kitchen, study lounges, rec lounges, game rooms, a laundry room with lounge and hall offices for staff.

With the opening of the new Dickinson Community in 2013, the $360 million East Campus Housing project will be complete and will allow the University to meet the increasing demand for housing while enticing upperclassmen to stay on campus longer.
