Diversity/inclusiveness vital

In March, racially offensive graffiti was found in a classroom shortly before the start of a class taught by an African-American professor to a large number of African-American students. Following the report of the graffiti, President Harvey Stenger reaffirmed the University’s long-standing commitment to academic freedom, inclusion and civil discourse and began conversations on campus among students, faculty and staff. The investigation remains open, and the campus dialogue on diversity and inclusiveness involving all campus constituencies will continue in the fall.
