Binghamton athletes participate in America East’s STARS Sportsmanship Initiative
Twenty student-athletes held a sportsmanship seminar for middle-school students in accordance with the America East Conference STARS (Student-athletes Advancing Respect Through Sports) initiative, in conjunction with the Student-Athlete Success Center and College for Every Student (CFES). CFES is a non-profit mentoring program designed to help raise the academic performance and educational aspirations of underserved youth so that they can prepare for, gain access to and succeed in college.

Binghamton’s athletes also held a CFES Service Day in May, when they joined with middle school students for spring cleaning and yard work at Danielle House, a charitable, non-profit organization that provides shelter and emotional support for families visiting seriously ill patients in area hospitals.
