Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator appointed

Binghamton University has created a new position to address issues of interpersonal violence on and off campus. Jessica Krohn, LMSW, has been appointed as interpersonal violence prevention coordinator for the campus. Interpersonal violence includes harassment (in person and online), stalking, bullying, relationship and/or dating violence, sexual coercion, assault and rape. In her new role, Krohn will be involved with interpersonal violence prevention initiatives to provide victim-centered information, referrals and advocacy to students — living on and off campus — who have questions about or have been a victim of interpersonal violence.

Students interested in Krohn’s assistance, or who have questions, can contact her directly or be referred from an outside party or department. She can be reached at JKrohn@binghamton.edu, 607-777-3062 or in person at C4-120, Dickinson side. Interpersonal violence prevention will use a multi-systemic and collaborative approach at Binghamton and Krohn is also seeking people who are interested in helping the University address and prevent interpersonal violence across the campus community. Contact her for more information on how you can help.
