We’re tops on Facebook
Binghamton University’s social media presence has grown rapidly over the past two months. The University’s Facebook page is averaging 100 new likes per day, with 200,000 to 300,000 Facebook users per week, and recently broke the 20,000 Likes mark – the first SUNY institution to do so. The universities at Albany, Stony Brook and Buffalo currently trail Binghamton by 1,000, 2,000 and 7,000 Likes, respectively. In addition, to help social media administrators across campus take advantage of social media tools, the Office of Communications and Marketing has assembled a user group of social media administrators who will meet monthly to discuss best practices.
