Men’s basketball guard Reed is among top freshmen in country

Freshman guard Jordan Reed was voted third team all-conference by the America East men’s basketball coaches. The conference recognized its all-star teams and major award winners at a reception on Albany’s campus. The event kicked off the America East Championship on the men’s side, which included Binghamton’s quarterfinal matchup against top-seeded Stony Brook at SEFCU Arena.

Reed, who led the entire conference in rebounding (9.6 rpg.) and ranked second in scoring (16.7 ppg.) also was named to the All-Rookie team. He is the first Binghamton University freshman to earn America East all-conference honors in the school’s 12-year membership.
