LEED Silver for Chenango Champlain Collegiate Center and Bingham Hall

The Chenango Champlain Collegiate Center and Bingham Hall in Newing College have been certified LEED silver. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) provides third-party verification of green buildings. All new construction and major renovations at Binghamton University are designed using LEED standards.

To earn the LEED silver designation, the University incorporated a number of construction and operating practices during construction, including use of building materials containing recycled content, use of energy-efficient lighting and building systems, and the addition of daylight views and water-efficient landscaping.
