Multicultural Resource Center
Nearly 500 students attended the Multicultural Resource Center’s first-ever Cultural Fair in the Mandela Room on Feb. 7. The fair featured more than 45 cultural student organizations, set up to showcase the various organizations available to new students on campus.
This year, the MRC is working collaboratively with alumni donors who have committed $10,000 to Korean student programming. Korean student organizations complete a grant application to apply for funding for events. The alumni fund has supported two events thus far.
The Black Student Union successfully sponsored its annual Black History Month event with assistance from the MRC, Campus Activities and the Convocations Committee. Reverend Run, formally of the rap group Run DMC who is now a preacher, spoke. More than 400 students turned out to hear his message.
