Women’s soccer earns national academic honor

Binghamton women’s soccer extended its streak of academic achievements with accolades from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The NSCAA listed the Bearcats among its Team Academic recipients for producing a 3.0 or higher GPA during the 2012-13 school year.

Head coach Sarah McClellan’s squad had a 3.45 GPA, the highest in the America East Conference. It marked the 12th straight year that the women’s soccer program eclipsed the 3.0 threshold. Binghamton’s GPA ranked 42nd (out of 317) in Division I programs across the country, putting the Bearcats in the top 14 percent.
