De-Stress December returned

De-Stress December returned to campus — providing students with a long list of opportunities to take advantage to help them relieve stress at a most-difficult time of the semester. With papers, projects and finals to complete, departments and divisions across campus planned activities including making stress balls, free snacks, free exercise classes, and, of course, visits from therapy dogs!

According to Dean of Students April Thompson, a surprising and very popular thing her office provided students this December wasn’t even an activity – it was a thing! Students studying in Bartle Library said they needed more electrical outlets, Thompson said, so her office purchased some surge protectors that students could sign out at the library for a quick and easy fix to help them continue studying for their end-of-the-semester exams.

With activities starting on Dec. 2 and running through the end of finals week, there was something for everyone. Students could check the schedule of free, fun activities online, or search #DeStressBing on Twitter. Last-minutes updates could be found by following @BingDean.
