Leadership development program

The Leadership Development Program for Supervisors began with a pilot program in the fall of 2013. The spring 2014 is now in session with 42 participants representing each of the University’s divisions.

The program was developed through a partnership with Center for Leadership Studies and the University Center for Training and Development. The three interrelated components of the LDP are interactive session, online modules specific to Binghamton University and mentoring. Ten core competencies have been identified as part of the framework:

    • Adaptability
    • Conflict Management & Problem Solving
    • Valuing Diversity
    • Building relationships
    • Organization Awareness/Risk Management
    • Team Building
    • Customer Service
    • Technical Skills

Nominations for the fall 2014 sessions will be opened in June.
