Final building in Dickinson Community opens to students

Digman Hall, the final building in the $365-million East Campus Housing Project, opened in January, housing 153 students on its first three floors, mainly spring transfer students and some students who have moved from other locations on campus. The remaining two floors will also house students beginning in fall 2014.

This combination is unique to Digman because its residents come from across campus when under normal circumstances students tend to remain in the same residential area they start with as entering students. This opening has allowed students and staff from across campus to come together and create a new identity as Digman residents.

This transition has gone smoothly Thanks to the work of the staff in Digman Hall and the support of offices across campus, the transition has been a smooth one. A welcoming event was held in February for all Digman residents so they could learn about the building and the Dickinson Community it belongs to.
