Four men’s tennis players earn All-Academic honors

Binghamton men’s tennis put four players on the America East Men’s Tennis All-Academic Team, occupying two-thirds of the team. Earning academic recognition were senior Florian van Kann, juniors Ismael Dinia and Robin Lesage and sophomore Alexander Maisin.

van Kann earned the honor for the second straight year. He graduated with a stellar 3.96 grade-point average in management finance. He also was a second team all-conference singles selection.

Dinia also was named to the team for a second consecutive year. He carries a 3.62 GPA in management finance and was a first-team all-conference choice.

Lesage also earned repeat honors, thanks to his lofty 3.92 GPA in management and marketing. Lesage also was a first-team all-conference singles player.

37 student-athletes inducted into National College Athlete Honor Society

The Binghamton Athletic Department inducted 37 student-athletes into the National College Athlete Honor Society (Chi Alpha Sigma) on April 23 in the TAU Club Room of the Events Center on Monday. This marks the ninth year that the athletic department has held inductions.

In order to be eligible for induction into Chi Alpha Sigma, a student-athlete must have achieved junior academic standing by their fifth semester, have at least a 3.4 cumulative grade point average and have earned at least one varsity letter in a sport sponsored by the NCAA.
