Donors participate in graduation through scholarship support

Binghamton conferred more than 3,200 degrees for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral candidates during Commencement ceremonies May 15-18. Among the candidates, more than 575 received scholarship assistance (at any point from freshman to senior year) from more than 900 separate awards provided by generous donors to the University.

Each year, private gifts made by individuals, foundations and corporations provide invaluable scholarship support that makes a premier Binghamton education accessible and affordable for students. Some recipients of donor-funded scholarships include:

    • Tanairy Carbo, American Dream Scholarship.
    • Paul Watrobski, Professor Janet Brady Memorial Scholarship.
    • Belle Yoeli, Benjamin and Ann Schecter Scholarship in Judaic Studies.
