Ropes course is in place

The labor of love to bring an outdoor challenge program to campus has finally been realized. The ropes course is fully installed and unofficially open and Campus Recreation has begun to take a few groups through for training. Check out the Campus Rec Facebook page to see students on the tire traverse and staff practicing the zip line and other elements to get ready for the official challenge course opening at Rec Fest in August.

“We are excited to provide an on-campus resource for students and members of the campus community to engage in team building, leadership and personal challenge opportunities,” said Clyde Robinson, director of Campus Recreational Services.

There are still many programs and activities during the summer for those students taking classes on campus and local members. Rec basketball and swim remain popular, and for those with a summer membership, there are nearly 20 group fitness classes a week including yoga, spinning, Pilates and many others.
