New role for Milton Chester

MIlton Chester
CHESTER

Milton Chester, former assistant dean of students for student conduct, has transitioned to assistant dean of students for off-campus programs and services where he will provide leadership for initiatives that affect our off-campus student population.

Over the last quarter, Chester met with students and community leaders to enhance the relationship between students and the Binghamton community.

He has partnered with the City of Binghamton Police Department (BPD) to create a process to alert off-campus students when serious incidents occur in the City of Binghamton. Students will sign up for the system through the Binghamton Police Department beginning in the fall semester.

Chester has also partnered with Off-Campus Council to create the “Rate My Landlord” database to allow students who live off campus students to electronically rate their housing experience, creating a database for other students to refer to. This new database will also be rolled out early in the fall.
