Navarro appointed vice president for operations

President Harvey Stenger has announced that JoAnn Navarro, associate vice president for administrative services and interim chief information officer, has been appointed vice president for operations, effective Sept. 25, 2014.

Navarro assumes the leadership of the Division of Operations, which includes the human resources, physical plant, information technology, police and emergency response, environmental health and safety, parking services, training and internal audit functions.

“JoAnn has been with the University for 20 years, serving in increasingly more responsible positions,” said President Harvey Stenger. “She has a breadth and depth of knowledge of all Division of Operations functions, understands how vital they are to the University’s success and is committed to excellence across the board.”

“I am so pleased to be offered this important role in the Division of Operations,” said Navarro. “The support this division provides is crucial to enabling Binghamton University to grow and prosper, and I look forward to working with the entire division to continue to enhance the services we provide to the University community.”
