Note to international students
Binghamton University welcomes students and scholars from all parts of the globe. Diversity is a cornerstone of our identity and mission, and we remain committed to admitting, supporting, advising and helping all international applicants and enrolled students.
Despite President Donald Trump’s Executive Order (EO) of Jan. 27, 2017, we will consider each applicant for admission and funding, and support all admitted international students as fully as possible in their efforts to obtain visas. Since the EO is limited to 90 days, it is due to expire in April, well before travel will be necessary for the fall 2017 semester.
A safe, affordable and welcoming campus in a state warmly receptive to immigrants of all nations, faiths and cultures, Binghamton University hosts 2,700 international students from 115 countries. We hope you visit the Graduate School website and will apply.
People helping people. Working together. Operating in partnership. Collaborating.
This is what's at the heart of Binghamton University's Master of Public Administration (MPA) program.
An MPA is a marketable professional degree that prepares students for management careers in public and nonprofit organizations. It is ideal for students who are committed to public service, would like to be leaders in public and nonprofit organizations, and want to make a positive difference in the world.
The MPA program at Binghamton University's College of Community and Public Affairs collaborates with community-based organizations to prepare today's students to be tomorrow's leaders, innovators, and public service managers. MPA graduates are equipped with practical, real-world experiences, and the theoretical framework needed to tackle today's toughest societal issues. Our faculty, staff, graduates, students and interns make important contributions to the communities in which they live and work, and to the broader public service profession. You can, too. And it starts here at Binghamton University.
The centerpiece of our academic programs is our NASPAA-accredited MPA program. The flexibility of our MPA curriculum enables students to pursue a variety of interests and tailor their programs of study to fit their needs. Our program also provides a tremendous value for the money. Binghamton University is ranked among the elite public universities in the nation for challenging students academically, not financially.
TopManagmentDegrees.com ranked the Binghamton University MPA #13 overall. You can learn more about the award and view the ranking in its entirety here.

Your MPA will open so many doors.
Here at Binghamton, you can combine the MPA degree with another accredited master's degree in student affairs, social work or nursing. If you are a current undergraduate student at Binghamton University, you can fast track your study by pairing an undergraduate degree in political science, theater, Asian and Asian American Studies, Spanish, French, Italian, philosophy and law, Judaic studies or environmental studies with the MPA. "The skills and experiences I gained during my time in the program are proving invaluable here at the Ohio Department of Health. Not a day goes by that I don't utilize some aspect of what I gained at BU!"
