Traveling to Campus

Accommodations

We ask that our candidates arrive around 5pm the night before their interview. We will arrange accommodations in our guest room on campus. If the guest room is not available, we will make reservations at the Quality Inn across from campus.  We ask that candidates "check out" of their room before the start of their interview day.  If candidates do not have a vehicle with them, we can store luggage in a secure location in the Residential Life office.

Guest room amenities include: double bed, private bath, air conditioner, television with campus cable, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, micro-fridge and alarm clock.

Quality Inn amenities include: outdoor pool, iron and ironing board, coffee maker and hairdryer.

Travel Reimbursement Policy

If we offer you a position and you accept, or if we do not offer you a position, we will reimburse a portion of your travel expenses: RDs - up to $350, CDs - up to $350, ADs - up to $500.  If we offer you a position and you do not accept, or if you withdraw from our process, we do not reimburse for travel.

Buses

Binghamton is serviced by both Greyhound and Short Line buses.  A staff member will meet you at the bus station.

Planes

Our preference is that candidates use the Binghamton Regional airport (code BGM) which is 15-20 minutes from campus.  Syracuse, NY (code SYR) and Scranton, PA (code AVP) also have airports approximately 1 1/2 hours from campus.

Our staff will be meeting you/dropping you off at the airport and we want everyone to be at their best during the interview.  Please keep this in mind when making your flight arrangements and avoid early morning/late night flights.
