Commencement: Preparing to begin again...
Many Binghamton students truly connect with their residential college - whether they lived on-campus all 4 (5, 6...) years, or just their first couple. To honor this part of their Binghamton experience each residential college/community hosts a Recognition Ceremony during commencement weekend. While each community has their own traditions, they all share the common goal of recognizing their graduating seniors' contributions to the life of the community.
This is an intimate ceremony; one that recognizes the importance of the experiences, friendships and memories forged during your student's residential experience. We encourage you and your student to come "home" and end their college career where it all began! Students have the opportunity to reconnect with faculty, staff and students from their hall/community, and share memories, exchange best wishes and say goodbye to those individuals who impacted them during their time on-campus.
All Area Recognition Ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. within their residential community. If your student will be graduating from the University this May, and you'd like to register to attend their residential college/community recognition ceremony, please click here.
Thank you for sharing your student with us during their college years. We look forward to seeing you at our recognition ceremonies during commencement weekend.
