Small Business Training Program-Oneonta

Are you starting a business? Are you already in business and need an entrepreneurial "tune-up"? The Small Business Training Program is for you! Strengthen your opportunities for business success  with this 20 hour training program. Learn from the experts how to build your idea into a profitable venture.

The classes take place on (3) consecutive Wednesdays. All three sessions are included in the price of $75. An SBDC Certificate of Completion will be awarded at the end of the third session.

About The Class

Becoming a business owner 101, is presented as a cooperative effort by Alternatives Federal Credit Union (Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce (TCCC), and the Small Business Development Center of New York (SBDC). The course will cover typical requirements and challenges of starting a business ranging from product and service development to business planning and financing. Additional topics discussed are human resources, business structure, regulatory and legal issues and lifestyle impacts. Each participant will complete a personal skills assessment, and develop an action plan.

 

Registration Fee ($150) Includes

* Two full days of class room instruction:               October 25th  & November 1st 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

(Lunch will be provided and a vegetarian option is available)

* Lifestyle Impacts Module                                         Novdember 8th 9:30 am – 12:30 am

* Going out of Business Module                               

* One-on-One Advisor Counseling

Consists of: Two one hour personal advisory sessions for Action Plan Development

Session One:  Strengths Matrix Assessment

Session Two:  Action Plan Outline Development
