Funding Opportunities for Undergraduates
If you have an outstanding record of academic and/or extracurricular achievement, you should research the opportunities open to you for scholarships, summer internships and research experiences, post-graduation opportunities and graduate school funding opportunities.
To get started and learn more about the scholarship application process, please read Applying for an Award. Topics discussed include "Who should apply for a major award," "Personal/Research Statements," and "Interviews." If you are thinking of pursuing graduate study, please read Graduate School and Graduate Funding. The information will help introduce you to the different types of funding opportunities for graduate school.
The opportunities listed here are only an introduction to those available. Please also see the links listed under Other Opportunities and check out the Online Guides & Resources page.
You will notice that some of the scholarships/fellowships indicate that university nomination is required. The decision to nominate or endorse a student is made after careful review of the application materials and the student's academic and academic honesty records. Please contact the Office of External Scholarships, Fellowships and Awards at jmcdona@binghamton.edu for information.
