Background

Sumantra Sarkar is a behavioral information systems (IS) researcher who employs both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. He studies IS governance, healthcare IT, managerial decision making and security. 

His work has appeared in premier IS journals like Information Systems Research (ISR), Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS), European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS), Information Systems Journal (ISJ), International Journal of Information Management (IJIM), Journal of Business Research (JBR), Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), IEEE IT Professional, Issues in Accounting Education and Journal of Accounting Education.

Sarkar has also over two decades of experience in working in senior IT management for large multinational corporations like GEC plc, Novell Inc., Hutchison Whampoa and ABN AMRO Bank.
