Senior Survey General Information

 Senior Survey 2014 Response Rates

Winners of the Senior Survey drawings have been randomly chosen and are being notified. Congratulations!

Each semester prior to the commencement ceremony the campus surveys graduating seniors to collect information about post-graduation career plans. This information helps us to better understand the career pathways of our graduating seniors--as they help inform decisions about resources, program improvements, and trends. Some of the aggregated information is used to measure our success as noted on the SUNY Report Card, and will be available in various reporting formats.

Who will receive the survey?

All undergraduates who have declared their spring 2014 degree candidacy by 3/28/14 will receive the survey. Students enrolled in the Watson School may receive an additional survey to gather program level assessment information.

Students who can't locate the original survey email can choose the appropriate link below, which will direct them to the appropriate School's survey:

Students who have already taken the survey will get a "thank you" after logging in; students who weren't sent the survey will get a different message.

Why should I participate?

Responses help shape the focus of our improvement efforts and provide us with information that is not otherwise available to us. Students who complete the survey by 5/1/2014 are entered into a drawing to receive prizes such as gift cards ($20-$200) or commencement related items (e.g. photo with the President, Diploma frame, Nursing pin/scrubs). Schools with the highest and most improved response rates receive awards from President Stenger. A high response rate is required so we will continue to follow up with students who do not respond.

Will there be repercussions based upon how I respond?

Individual responses are confidential and used only to create aggregated responses. The confidentiality of responses is protected by federal laws that prohibit usage of the information beyond basic statistical analysis.

Will the survey take a long time to complete?

We have tested it and found it takes about 3 minutes to complete. The survey is about 10 questions (there are a few more for School of Management and Theatre students).
