Student Affairs Development
Support Student Affairs
Your private support of the Division of Student Affairs helps make Binghamton University a home away from home for students with many different interests, goals and needs. Charitable gifts to the Division, or any of our student-centered services and programs, sustain a safe and healthy campus, promoting all aspects of students' growth while complementing the University's academic agenda.
Binghamton University offers a living environment where today's tech-savvy student can thrive academically and socially. Students enjoy a myriad of opportunities to learn, play, engage in civic and charitable organizations, develop leadership skills and encounter a rich cultural life. Student Affairs helps foster a multicultural community and supports international collaboration and exchange, preparing students for a diverse and changing world.
Through the Decker Student Health Services Center, University Counseling Center and Recreational Services, the Division helps students stay well, make wise choices and manage stress. Binghamton’s Residential Life program places a strong emphasis on developing connections between students, faculty, and staff. The residential colleges/communities interweave academics and personal development with extracurricular activities to cultivate a well rounded, highly prepared and motivated individual.
Students and alumni turn to the Career Development Center for help exploring career options and opportunities or advanced degree programs. Additionally, the Career Development Center offers students a chance to hone their professional skills through internships and other experiential education classes.
Both the Educational Opportunity Program and Upward Bound give financially and academically challenged students a chance to succeed on the collegiate level. Other communities with unique needs, such as international students and those with disabilities, also find services devoted to their success.
From Orientation to Discovery, and from residence halls to recreational facilities, the Division of Student Affairs touches every facet of students' lives.
