Binghamton students deserve the best. The best professors, the best programs and the best support system. Our staff and administration work hard to provide important resources that ensure the success, happiness and well-being of each and every remarkable Binghamton student.

The Career Development Center is more than a job bank. The CDC staff holds regular workshops on résumé writing, finding internships, applying to grad school and ultimately, searching for a job. They organize frequent campus job fairs, internship fairs and grad school fairs. And don’t forget that the CDC is a lifetime resource.

The Decker Student Health Services Center and the University Counseling Center offer students affordable health insurance and provide top-quality medical care and individual or group counseling.

In addition to coordinating the new student orientation program called New Beginnings, the Office of Campus Life offers advising and support services for students developing, planning and executing a well-balanced, campus-wide program of co-curricular activities. Campus Life also offers student leaders an opportunity to develop and use their leadership skills through formal workshops and participation in sponsored leadership groups coordinated through the XCEL Center for Excellence.

International Student and Scholar Services serves a population of more than 1,500 international students from more than 90 countries around the world. Programs and services are designed to meet the needs of entering international students, currently enrolled international students and international alumni.

Services for Students with Disabilities provides a wide range of assistance to students with physical, learning or other disabilities. Dedicated staff partner with students to determine and arrange reasonable accommodations and support services designed to facilitate University involvement and academic success.

The Dean of Students assists students having difficulties due to reasons beyond her or his control; whether due to medical, emotional or psychological issues. The dean can connect students to various networks of support and resources to aid in the pursuit of a successful academic career. The Dean of Students Office also provides services to students living off campus through the Off Campus College.

Computing services is an integral component of the modern college campus. Online collaborative resources like Blackboard have changed the way students learn and interact. The office of Information Technology Services ensures that students can safely access the Internet in their rooms, in wireless hotspots across campus and in public computer pods. ITS also helps students and professors upgrade their technological skills for greater academic and professional success.
