Eat local food
On average, food travels 1,500 to 2,500 miles from farm to kitchen. These long trips are often unnecessary and contribute to increased emissions of greenhouse gases. Instead, buy food from local farmer's markets and reduce the miles food travels and the energy needed to transport it.
