Samsung Internship

Binghamton University has an arrangement with Samsung to provide paid graduate and undergraduate internships to our students in the areas of Engineering and Management. The goals of the internship are to strengthen the relationship between the company and our school, provide students a workplace experience, and allow Samsung to develop talent for their future workforce.


Info sessions are now being held for the Samsung Internship Program. The next Info Session is March 5, 2014 from 12-1 pm in UU 120.


Internship Specifics:

• Timing: 6-8 weeks from the beginning of June
• Logistics: Paid airfare and housing through a travel agency service
• Experience: Introduction, training, and work in the overall business as well as specific pieces of the Techwin business
• Compensation: Monthly stipend
• Daily Schedule: full day working hours with high expectation of performance
• Orientation: Office of International Programs, Watson School, and Center for Korean Studies provides a mandatory orientation session for internship students to prepare them for the experience


• Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student standing as of the summer you'd begin the internship
• 3.3 GPA or higher
• Majoring in Engineering or Management Subjects as well a Biology or Chemistry
• Passport and ability to obtain a visa for South Korea
• Good academic standard and conduct
• Demonstration of maturity
• Applicants will only be considered if the entire application process is completed
• Korean language skills are not required


• Application begins in February and closes in March – dates will be advertised
• Resume, Cover Letter, Recommendation, and Copy of Passport photo page is needed to apply
• In-person interviews are conducted at Binghamton in March
• Skype Interviews are held with Samsung at the beginning of April
