Albany International Airport is located at the junction of Interstate Highways 90 and 87, about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Binghamton. Albany-Shaker Road to right on Wolf Road to I-87 South to I-90 West Exit 25A to I-88 West to Route 17 WEST. Continue on Route 17 WEST to Exit 70 SOUTH (Route 201). Follow Route 201 and the SUNY signs to the traffic circle. Take first right off circle, crossing bridge to Route 434 EAST. The main entrance to campus is your first right.

Binghamton University is located one mile west of the city of Binghamton and is a short drive from major urban centers in New York and neighboring states. The University is 45 miles (about 1 hour) from Ithaca, 70 miles (about 1 1/2 hours) from Syracuse, 190 miles (about 3 hours) from Philadelphia, and 200 miles (about 3 hours) from New York City. Approximate driving time from Albany is 2 1/2 hours, 3 hours from Rochester, 4 1/2 hours from Buffalo.

From Southern New England and Down State New York take the NYS Thruway (87) to Exit 16 (Harriman Exit) to Route 17 WEST. Continue on Route 17 WEST to Exit 70 OUTH (Route 201). Follow Route 201 south and SUNY signs, cross the bridge heading to Vestal, Rt. 434 and SUNY. There are signs marking the route to campus. Move to left lane as you cross bridge and follow signs to Route 434 East (Binghamton). The main entrance to the university is about 1/4 mile after you enter route 434 East.

From Northern New England and the Albany-Oneonta, NY area take I-88 WEST to I-81 SOUTH to Route 17 WEST. Continue on Route 17 WEST to Exit 70 SOUTH (Route 201). Follow Route 201 and SUNY signs, cross the bridge heading to Vestal, Rt. 434 and SUNY. There are signs marking the route to campus. Move to left lane as you cross bridge and follow signs to Route 434 East (Binghamton). The main entrance to the university is about 1/4 mile after you enter route 434 East.

From West of Binghamton, follow Route 17 EAST to Exit 70 SOUTH (Route 201). Follow Route 201 and SUNY signs, cross the bridge heading to Vestal, Rt. 434 and SUNY. From Syracuse and North of Binghamton take I-81 South to Route 17 WEST to Exit 70 SOUTH (Route 201). Follow Route 201 and SUNY signs, cross the bridge heading to Vestal, Rt. 434 and SUNY. From Ithaca take Route 96B to Route 17 EAST in Owego, take Exit 70 SOUTH (Route 201). Follow Route 201 and SUNY signs, cross the bridge heading to Vestal, Rt. 434 and SUNY. From Pennsylvania take I-81 NORTH across the New York State border to Route 17 WEST. Take Route 17 WEST to Exit 70 SOUTH (Route 201).
