Graduate School - Graduate Information
The Graduate School works closely with the deans, graduate directors and faculty of Binghamton University’s schools, colleges and academic departments to support student success and provide administrative coordination for graduate recruitment, admissions, funding and academic affairs. In addition, the Graduate School hosts several interdisciplinary academic programs, where coursework spans across individual college boundaries and curriculum is a shared responsibility. The Materials Science and Engineering program and the Sustainable Communities program are examples of this type of unique academic offering.
The Graduate School is committed to providing graduate students with professional development opportunities. As part of this mission, the Graduate School offers certification in Professional Science Management, a program that is part of a national initiative dedicated to creating professionals who are knowledgeable about both scientific inquiry and the business skills required to manage science projects.
