Associate Vice President for Communications and Marketing
As steward of the Binghamton brand, Delviscio oversees the development of strategic communications that support and enhance the University's reputation, mission, and priorities. A member of the senior management team, he advises the president, senior leadership, and members of the University community on communications issues, strategy, and opportunities. On-going partnerships with schools, departments, and communicators across the institution serve to drive forward the University's momentum in enrollment, development, research, and engagement.
Under Delviscio's leadership, the communications and marketing team develops innovative, flexible solutions that integrate University goals with department needs in the areas of marketing, public relations, social media, editorial, and creative services – ensuring a unified spirit and identity for Binghamton.
He was named associate vice president for university communications and marketing in 2008 after joining Binghamton in 2006 as the director of creative services.
His 20 years of experience in the communications, marketing, and design fields includes work with the Los Angeles Times, The McGraw-Hill companies, Knight Ridder Newspapers, Reebok, Spalding Sports and the PGA Tour.
Delviscio earned his Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of the Design Management Institute, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Public Relations Society of America.
