Decker Student Health Services Center

The Decker Student Health Services Center promotes and supports student wellness through education, prevention and treatment in a caring atmosphere that respects the unique qualities of each individual. There is no charge for appointments, and insurance is not billed. Appointments are scheduled through our online patient portal.

The University Counseling Center

The University Counseling Center offers support to Binghamton students in a variety of ways, such as through programs on managing stress, developing and sustaining healthy relationships, and building coping skills to better manage college life.

Students can also meet with qualified therapists to talk about mental health and life issues like relationship or friendship conflicts, emotional difficulties and regulating stress. Individual counseling, which is confidential, is available to students using a short-term model that typically focuses on finding solutions to a specific challenge or problem.

Psychiatric services offer medication treatment within a collaborative care model that works with students established in counseling services on and off campus.

Residential Life Master of Social Work Interns

Residential Life employs a staff of interns from the University's Master of Social Work (MSW) program who provide private case management services for residential students in each community. They support students’ transition to young adulthood, assisting with social, behavioral, emotional and academic concerns.

Services for Students with Disabilities

Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) works with students, faculty and staff to facilitate an accessible and inclusive campus. Students who register with SSD interact with a highly qualified and dedicated staff who partner with them in the determination and arrangement of reasonable accommodations and support services designed to facilitate their participation and engagement at Binghamton University.

VARCC

VARCC is housed in a centrally located but calm, private space on the third floor of Old Johnson Hall where it provides a single place for students  or anyone  to receive services as a result of sexual violence and information on reporting.

Nutritional Services

Nutrition consultations led by registered dietitians are available to students free of charge. The sessions are designed to help students obtain peak mental and physical performance through attention to their nutrition. Binghamton University Dining Services also provides a variety of menu options for students who have food allergies, food intolerances and/or other special dietary needs.
