Glad to be back! After all, Binghamton has always been my home away from home!

I can still remember that feeling of pure nervous energy and excitement as I began my journey as a first-year student at Binghamton.

While I didn’t know how it would turn out, I had a feeling that this was where I was meant to be. I made instant friends the day I moved into the College-in- the-
Woods residential community who have become lifelong friends.

Depending on your academic path, the opportunities within the classroom, community or for research projects are endless. Come with a major or come undecided, there are so many possibilities to explore. The books I read as an English major and the biology and cinema courses I took have all shaped me into who I am today.

As if life on campus wasn’t enough, Binghamton took me around the world when I studied abroad in London, England. What could be better than immersing yourself in another culture and taking classes in another country while fulfilling requirements back at your University?

In the blink of an eye, it was time to graduate. Leaving Binghamton to start a flourishing career was bittersweet, as it was my home away from home for four amazing, awarding, enriching years.

For me, the added bonus has been that I have this wonderful opportunity to step back into the Binghamton community. Returning to serve as an admissions counselor is a dream come true. I get to share my enthusiasm and passion for all that Binghamton has to offer with those students who are just beginning their journey. I get to be a part of their story as Binghamton becomes their home away from home.
