Mountainview College gets its name for being situated on top of the hill with the best panoramic view of the the Binghamton University campus. The halls in this community are made up of suites with four or six residents and designed triples. Its dining hall is called "Appalachian Dining Hall," which plays host to a culinary competition each year.
