Connect: Binghamton in the City

Save the date: Jan. 7-11, 2019

For students, Binghamton in the City is one of the most important weeks of the academic year. We're leveraging the power of Binghamton University's alumni network to provide students with a number of career exploration opportunities.

Alumni will host students at their workplaces, and will discuss what they do and how to break into a desired career field. The capstone event of the week is Metro Connections Night Jan. 8. Metro Connections Night a forum for conversations. Students should dress professional, bring good questions and be ready to speak with their choice of more than 130 alumni representing a variety of fields.

We'll also have a panel discussion for parents Jan. 8, so they can learn how to help their students get the most of the Binghamton University experience to be poised for success in the real world.

Registration is open for Metro Connections Night through hireBING. Students, be sure to check this page for updates and we'll also share information with you via B-Engaged.

Alumni volunteers: We have reached our capacity on volunteers from these categories: finance, medicine, non-profit and education. If you are a lawyer and would like to register, please contact Courtney Sielaff at
