Homecoming is the largest alumni gathering of the year and it continues to gain momentum. All alumni are invited back to campus to reconnect with classmates, mentor current students, and witness the tremendous growth at their alma mater. Each year, more than 1,000 alumni attend Homecoming. Current students are invited to participate to instill a sense of Binghamton pride and tradition, setting the expectation for them to continue attending Homecoming once they graduate.
More than 50 events and activities occur throughout the weekend for alumni and students. The weekend kicks off Friday with an opening reception in the Alumni Center followed by countless events including, but not limited to, affinity group gatherings, student/alumni mentoring sessions, campus tours, a campus update from the University president, the TIER Talks (Talks that Inspire, Educate and Resonate) speaker event presented by M&T Bank, a 5K fun run/walk, the Homecoming soccer game, and the largest, most festive event — the Homecoming Tailgate.
