Reaching the Masses: Meet Alumni Social Media Influencers
11 a.m. - noon, Saturday, Oct. 9
Chenango Champlain Collegiate Center Multipurpose Room
This event is free and open to all.
The ability to communicate with large audiences and drive consumer behaviors is no longer exclusive to movie stars, professional athletes and politicians. Social media have given rise to a new generation of influencers. Although they don't have star power in the traditional sense, they've leveraged platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to reach people to push products or advance causes they're passionate about. At our upcoming TIER Talks session, meet alumni who have built social media followings in order to grow their businesses or effect social change. We'll also explore the macro-level effects of social media and what tomorrow's influencers could look like.
