By My-Ly Nguyen Sperry '00, MBA '02
Big ideas, thought-provoking discussions and meaningful connections. All we need is you!
The inaugural Binghamton Women's Weekend, to be held Friday-Sunday, Oct. 20-22 at Convene in Manhattan, will bring together the amazing women connected to Binghamton University — alumnae, parents and friends — for an informative and engaging conference focused on career success, life-skill enhancement and personal fulfillment.
Celeste Headlee, public broadcast radio show host and author of Heard Mentality and We Need to Talk: How to Have Conversations That Matter, will be the keynote speaker, discussing the art of conversation and focused listening. Her "Having Better Conversations" crash course focuses on the science-based fundamentals of communication and includes topics such as the smarter you are, the worse you are at communicating. This highly motivational talk, with 10 practical lessons, is designed to inspire self-confidence and introduce strategies for enhancing personal and professional relationships by simply becoming better at having conversations.
Stay informed. Be engaged. Get inspired. Join us for this important event. It will be Binghamton University's first-ever conference for women by women. You won't want to miss it!
