Alumni Connect - March 2018

Regional chapter and affinity roundup

By Steve Seepersaud

TEP ReunionA snowstorm foiled Tau Epsilon Phi's (TEP) attempt to hold an alumni happy hour just after the start of the new year. No such bad luck this month! But the group's March 6 event in Manhattan did come just before a Nor'easter socked the region.

About 25 TEP alumni gathered at Houndstooth Pub, where they were joined by undergraduate brothers who were home on their mid-semester break.

The gathering was particularly special as the TEP brothers and alumni launched the TEP Memorial Scholarship to honor the late Oren Warter '91 and Matthew Dolsky '14.

Estero event

With pockets of alumni in the Fort Myers and Naples regions, Estero, Fla. – located between those two cities – has become a convenient location to bring alumni together. President Harvey Stenger and College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA) Dean Laura Bronstein met with nearly 20 alumni March 6, at The Club at Grandezza. Alumni heard about the most recent developments on campus, in particular CCPA's continued growth in the Greater Binghamton community and development of innovative programs.
