Westchester TIER Talks® to explore burning questions surrounding marijuana
The use of marijuana as a recreational drug has been decriminalized in eight states and in the District of Columbia. How did we make this shift? How and why have medical and recreational marijuana become at odds with each other? What business drivers fuel the cannabis industry? On Sept. 27, a panel featuring two alumni will provide answers.
Alumni welcome new students to campus
There were plenty of smiles at the Alumni Center Aug. 27, as 250 incoming students attended an ice cream social to kick off the academic year. During Welcome Week, alumni volunteers and Alumni Engagement staff members participated in several events to help freshmen feel more at home in their new surroundings and start to build #BingPride. Kimberly Faber named executive director of alumni engagement
Kimberly Faber comes to Binghamton from the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she was assistant vice president for college advancement, serving as a senior-level member of the advancement team supporting all aspects of engagement, relationship building and development. Faber also has experience in major and planned gifts as well as corporate and foundation relations. Her broad levels of experience combined with her passion for Binghamton University will make her a valued addition to our campus community. Effective Sept. 21, she replaces Rose Frierman, MA '90, who retired as senior director of alumni engagement following 31 years of service at the University.
