Science of Learning Brown Bag

Day Tuesday, November 19
Time 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM
Where AB-347

The Science of Learning Workgroup invites those interested in the topic to attend a "brown bag" working lunch following the lecture by Arthur Spirling. The Science of Learning refers to developing basic theoretical insights and fundamental knowledge about principles, processes and mechanisms of learning, and how human cognitive function can be augmented through interactions with others, contextual variations, and technological advances. During the brown bag, participants will share how they see their work fitting within the framework of learning sciences or learning analytics and look for opportunities for collaboration. Topics can be related to learning in forms, education policy or research, complex systems, or statistical methodologies. Come with an idea or just to learn! If you have any questions, contact Kenneth Kurtz at kkurtz@binghamton.edu or Lucky Mason-Williams at lmason-williams@binghamton.edu. Dessert will be provided!
