United Way Day of Caring

In remembrance of those who lost their lives during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, United Way of Broome County will host its annual Day of Caring, bringing together nearly 1,000 community members through service at nonprofits, government agencies, parks and more.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to participate by volunteering as individuals or by organizing a group. Volunteers are needed both Friday, Sept. 14 and Saturday, Sept. 15, with half- or full-day slots available. If operationally feasible, supervisors may, at their discretion, allow staff to volunteer during normal work hours without using leave credits.

Help Binghamton University double its participation from last year to more than 200 volunteers by signing up today. Volunteer registration deadline is Tuesday, July 31. Visit United Way of Broome County’s website for more information and to sign up.
