The Rec Center pool offers weekly lap, recreational and family swim hours. Additionally, classes and fitness sessions (like aqua aerobics and triathlon training) are offered each semester.



Ballroom Dance Association

The Ballroom Dance Association is a Student Association-chartered club that offers lessons. The Ballroom Dance team competes inter-collegiately throughout the country, as well as performs for student events and local causes.


Bike Share Program

The Binghamton Bike Share program offers current students the opportunity to register for and use commuter bikes on campus for free.  Bicycles can be rented from the Old Union Information Desk and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  



Binghamton Outdoor Pursuits is dedicated to the promotion of physical activity, wellness and a deeper understanding of nature through experience-based outdoor, adventure and environmental education.



Black Dance Repertoire

Black Dance Repertoire is a Student Association -chartered club. This multi-cultural performance group brings a variety of dances to the campus community.


Campus Rec


Campus Rec provides members of the Binghamton University community the opportunity to improve their well-being and incorporate time for rejuvenation into each day.




Chanbara is a Student Association-chartered club. This Japanese performance group combines martial arts and sword choreography, along with stage acting, to create engaging performances to spread awareness of the Japanese culture.


Club Sports


Club Sports are student organizations that provide participants the opportunity to learn new skills, improve existing skills, become more educated about fitness and health, engage in competition and enjoy recreational and social fellowship.




Nutrition consultations are available to students, faculty and staff free of charge. The sessions are designed to help people obtain peak mental and physical performance through attention to their nutrition.



Eating Awareness Committee

The Eating Awareness Committee is comprised of professional staff, faculty and students from departments across campus. Its mission is to provide education, outreach and resources to both campus and community as it relates to body image, eating disorders, nutrition and fitness.




FitSpace is dedicated to encouraging active and healthy lifestyles. The facility spans over 10,000 square-feet and includes cardiovascular equipment, selectorized machines and free weights.



Fit University

Fit University is a Student Association-chartered club that strives to promote healthy living through educational programming, tabling, speakers and presentations.


Group Fitness

Group Fitness delivers a variety of specialized classes for men and women of all fitness levels. Classes target cardiovascular fitness, muscle toning and strengthening, flexibility and mind-body wellness.



Health and Wellness

The department of Health and Wellness Studies is strongly committed to teaching the practical skills and behaviors of healthy living. A variety of health, nutrition and activity courses are offered each semester. Professional staff in the department can refer students to appropriate services both on and off campus. 



Hula Hooping Club

Hula Hooping is a Student Association-chartered club that brings hula hoopers of all levels together to socialize and share tricks and talents!


Internship in Campus Recreation 

Campus Recreation offers fall (personal training) and spring (group fitness) internship opportunities.  



Internship in Health and Wellness

Internships are available in Heath and Wellness Studies in the areas of nutrition, fitness and other wellness-related topics.





The Intramural Program offers competitive and recreational activities within a variety of individual and team sports that involve more than 3,000 students annually.




A new program from Binghamton University's Dining Services by Sodexo, Mindful delivers satisfying portions that are not only delicious, but also meet a wide array of specific nutrition guidelines that control the level of calories, fat, cholesterol and sodium while maximizing the amount of fiber and other essential nutrients.


Nature Preserve Trails

The Binghamton campus has designated a Nature Preserve which encompasses 182 acres of land, including 20 acres of wetland. The preserve includes a number of maintained hiking trails and a wooden footbridge.


Evolution Dance Company 

Evolution Dance Company is a large, recreational dance group on the Binghamton University campus.


Personal Training


FitSpace offers personal and small group training, as well as fitness and nutritional assessment to help you reach your health and fitness goals. 




Quimbamba is a Student Association-chartered club comprised of diverse individuals working together to educate the Binghamton community about Latin culture through the art of dance.



Services for Students with Disabilities helps to arrange reasonable accommodations and support services for enrolled students with physical, learning or other disabilities to facilitate their University involvement and academic success.




SnoCats is a Student Association-chartered club that seeks to organize and provide Binghamton students with recreational ski and snowboard trips that are affordable, accessible and in a social atmosphere.


Tap That

Tap That is a Student Association-chartered club that performs choreographed tap dances for many campus events. All skill levels welcomed!
