Active Minds


Active Minds is a Student Association-chartered club with the focus of raising awareness of and eliminating the stigma of mental health issues within the campus community.  


Crisis Center

The Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program is a 24-hour crisis service staffed by highly-trained psychiatric nurses, social workers and paraprofessionals under the direction of a medical director/psychiatrist. All calls are free and confidential.


Decker Student Health Services Center

The Decker Student Health Services Center provides currently registered Binghamton University students with psychiatric consultations from a board certified psychiatrist.



The Employee Assistance Program provides confidential, professional, work-site based guidance at no cost to University faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate student employees, retirees and their families. EAP offers consultation, assessment and referrals to appropriate community and professional resources as well as programs and workshops.



Interfaith Meditation & Prayer Room

Students, faculty and staff are welcome to use the Interfaith Meditation and Prayer Room for mental and spiritual growth. The shoe-less space is accessible through the Multicultural Resource Center and is great for private prayer, meditation, relaxation, quiet reflection and/or similar spiritual and stress reduction type activities.


Massage Services

Campus Rec offers massage services in its Wellness Suite right on campus!   



Residential Life

The staff living in your residence halls (RAs, ARC/ACDs, RD/CDs) and in your residential community (Assistant Director and Faculty Master) strive to develop an environment where students can study, socialize and grow.   


University Counseling Center


The University Counseling Center provides comprehensive preventive and clinical services. Its goal is to enhance the psychological well-being of undergraduate and graduate students so they can take full advantage of the educational opportunities at the University. Individual and group sessions (i.e. Happiness Group, Demystifying Relationships, Pursuit of Academic Success) available. 




Campus Rec offers a number of group exercise classes that are geared to both men and women of all fitness levels. Consider one of the yoga classes — great for your mind, body and spirit!
