A Bucket List for the Binghamton Class of 2022

Posted by Nicole El Chami on May 9, 2022

Everyone told me these would be the fastest four years of my life— they were right. As graduation approaches, I can’t believe how far I’ve come since moving into my dorm room in August 2018. I entered college as an economics major and remained on that path for two and a half years before realizing it wasn’t for me. We entered a pandemic, I changed my major, and grew increasingly grateful for the environment Binghamton brought me.

Returning to campus my junior year, I began to explore all Binghamton has to offer. Now that my time as an undergraduate student is coming to an end, I wanted to share my personal list of things you can’t miss before graduation. From restaurants and walking trails to beautiful parks, here is a bucket list of things to do before beginning your next chapter.

As a senior experiencing the semester’s end, I find myself reminiscing about my four years at Binghamton. While it’s an amazing time for seniors to look back on their Binghamton experience, I also understand the stresses that come along with impending graduation, as there’s a lot to prepare for: distributing Commencement tickets to your family, ordering your cap and gown, and, not to mention, figuring out what to do after graduation. Luckily, there are so many fun events planned for Binghamton graduates leading up to the big day. To ease some of your senior scaries, check out the information listed below for your full guide to graduation.

11 Things to Look Forward to at Spring Fling 2022

Posted by Nicole El Chami on April 26, 2022

As a senior, I can look back on my first Spring Fling as a first-year student in 2019. It was, and still is, the largest campus-wide event, with so much to offer. In 2019, the Spring Fling festival was filled with rides, food, and prizes while Flipp Deniro and Playboi Carti graced the Events Center stage for the evening concert. What we didn’t know at the time was that Spring Fling 2019 would be the last festival for two years, as we were met with the COVID-19 pandemic the following year. However, Spring Fling is back and it’s so exciting for seniors like myself who will get to experience the fun all over again, as well as for the students who will be experiencing the fun for the first time! Between rides, games, food trucks, prizes and live music, Spring Fling 2022 has so much to offer!

Don’t miss it Saturday, April 30, on the Peace Quad and Spine!

After four years of studying at Binghamton, I’ve tried every study tip under the sun: flashcards, study guides, you name it. Through it all, I’ve learned that it doesn’t matter what study methods you use; success is primarily dependent upon the time, energy and organization you put into your work. Below are my favorite tips to help you finish your paper or prepare for your exam and end the semester on a high note.
